Riding together to build homes in Elmira
This year marks the 16th annual Out-Spok’n Bike-a-Thon, a community event that brings together riders, sponsors, and supporters who believe everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home.
Each year, cyclists of all ages and abilities take to the road to raise funds for Beyond Housing. Their efforts help create homes for families across Waterloo Region. In 2026, proceeds from Out-Spok’n will support Beyond Housing’s next affordable housing project in Elmira, helping bring safe and stable homes to more households in Woolwich Township.
A special highlight of this year’s ride is Martin Buhr, founding president of MennoHomes (now Beyond Housing), who is preparing for his final Out-Spok’n fundraising ride at age 87.
