An affluent community, Waterloo Region has struggled to provide adequate affordable housing. Women and their children who have experienced domestic violence and are living in emergency shelters are particularly vulnerable.

New Beginnings will provide secure, affordable and supportive homes that will make space for referrals from Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region.

The conversation about how to use this property really turned when we learned about the partnership with Women’s Crisis Services. As a family, we are very pleased that our former home can be transitioned into new homes for so many people. “

The Capital Campaign

The Beyond Housing business model is simple and highly effective. For each project, construction costs are covered by a combination of government grants, private donations, and a mortgage.

The $2 million capital campaign will ensure the rent received from tenants is sufficient to pay the ongoing mortgage and operating costs.

Your support helps people in our community have access to safe, stable, affordable housing. It builds the foundation for health and well-being, and provides a new beginning for the next season of their lives.
